Dolph Lundgren has been cast in James Wan‘s Aquaman and will be providing another adversary for Jason Momoa‘s hero. Per The Hollywood Reporter, “Lundgren will play King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebel, who claims Mera as his own and wants to kill Aquaman.”
The opposition in this film is getting pretty crowded, with Patrick Wilson playing Ocean Master and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II appearing as Black Manta. The cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, and Amber Heard.
Aquaman begins production this spring and is scheduled for release on December 21st, 2018.
