Hugh Jackman to Lead Michael Mann’s FERRARI

Hugh Jackman has officially hung up the Wolverine claws, and now he has a very different project lined up for his post-Logan career. The actor will play the title role in Michael Mann’s long-in-development Ferrari, a drama about famed car designer Enzo Ferrari. Noomi Rapace will play his estranged wife. Christian Bale had been attached to star, however, he dropped out after health concerns over putting on the required weight.

More from Deadline:

Ferrari is the drama Mann started in partnership with the late director Sydney Pollack almost 17 years ago. The film takes place in 1957, a year where passion, failure, success and death and life all collided in Ferrari’s battle for supremacy against rival Maserati.
