NEON has released an official red band teaser for Ingrid Goes West, a film that had a lot positive buzz coming out of Sundance earlier this year. Directed by Matt Spicer, the film stars Aubrey Plaza as the titular woman, who travels to LA to find and befriend a socialite (Elizabeth Olsen).
Ingrid Goes West also stars Wyatt Russell, Billy Magnussen and O’shea Jackson Jr. It is in theaters on August 4th.
Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid Thorburn (Aubrey Plaza) escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her Instagram obsession and LA socialite Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen). After a quick bond is forged between these unlikeliest of friends, the façade begins to crack in both women’s lives — with comically malicious results.
