UPDATE: The team behind Frank & Zed has relaunched their Kickstarter so this article has been updated to reflect the new changes. Check out the project page here and consider a donation!

This week’s Kickstart Sunday pick comes to us from director Jesse Blanchard and his horror short Frank & Zed. Now, you may be wondering why this project was chosen out of the seemingly hundreds of crowd-funded horror shorts that pop up every week, well this one is quite different in that this story is presented entirely using puppets. Now, I’ve never seen a horror film created with puppets, but the really enticing thing about this project is just how good all the various characters and models look.

This Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise $15,000 with 23 days to go, so be sure to click here and send a donation their way so we can see some great puppet disembowelment.

Take a look below for more information and also make sure you check out their page for some really awesome looking rewards.

Centuries ago, a desperate battle left a village wasted, a new bride dead, and two mortal enemies dependent on each other for survival. Forgotten amongst the crumbling ruins, our two heroes have eked out a meager existence, each responsible for feeding the other.

One fateful day, a villager trespasses into Frank’s hunting grounds. The resulting ‘harvest’ provides Zed with a full tummy and sets the entire town on a course of bloody retribution.
