This week’s Kickstart Sunday pick is the very creepy looking horror flick, The Sleeping Room, from writer/director John Shackleton.  Taking place in modern day Brighton, the film revolves around a young call girl who unwittingly unleashes some crazy evil into the world.

This film has been finished but needs additional print and advertising funding to get the word out.  If you’re a horror fan and attending the Film4 FrightFest this year, be sure to check it out there, as it just had its premiere last night.

This Kickstarter project currently has 24 days remaining with a campaign goal of £15,000, so be sure to support independent horror and click here to visit the donation page for The Sleeping Room today and check below for more information.

This gothic, psychological tale of Victorian revenge is the story of a young call girl named Blue, drawn to Brighton – compelled to find out the truth behind her family history. Discovering a hidden chamber within a Regency house whilst with a client, a terrifying supernatural force is unleashed, skewing her reality and making nothing quite what it seems. Infiltrating Blue’s psyche, this monster from her families past now seems hell-bent on claiming her future. Nobody will escape its power unless a score for a heinous felony is settled.
