The upcoming
Power Rangers movie has begun casting announcements this week with
Naomi Scott set to play Kimberly, the pink ranger.
Dean Israelite (
Project Almanac) is directing the film with
Burk Sharpless and
Matt Sazama working on the initial script and
Ashley Miller and
Zack Stentz developing the latest version for Lionsgate.
Scott can currently be seen in Ridley Scott’s The Martian and will also be in the Chilean miner biopic The 33.
The casting news came from the official Power Rangers movie Instagram, which you can check out below. Power Rangers opens in theaters January 13th, 2017.
