Being a big fan of 80s pop culture, it should come as no surprise that I’m also a fan of writer Bret Easton Ellis who wrote American Psycho, Less Than Zero, The Rules of Attraction, and The Informers just to name a few. That being said, it’s with a heavy heart that I present the new trailer for The Canyons, which Ellis wrote, with Paul Schrader directing. As much as I want this to be good, the new trailer is painfully awful, but what could you expect from Lindsay Lohan and James Deen? Hit the jump for both the new and original trailer and more info.

THE CANYONS is a contemporary L.A. noir from director Paul Schrader, writer Bret Easton Ellis, and producer Braxton Pope about the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition, both personally and professionally, among a group of young people in their 20s and how one chance meeting connected to the past unravels all of their lives, resulting in deceit, paranoia, cruel mind games and ultimately violence.

I just can’t see this being good, but let us know what you think in the comments below.
