What was thought to be an April fools prank, it was announced Sunday, that Ashton Kutcher was cast to play Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic titled Jobs. This announcement had the internet buzzing about the possibility of it just being an elaborate ruse, however it has been confirmed as being true.
While many Apple fanboys are up in arms about this, I personally don’t think this is necessarily a bad choice. Jobs had an over the top personality much like Kutcher, and unless Noah Wiley comes back to play him, I don’t think there’s many other celebs that have a more similar look. I think this is going to be one of those situations like when we heard Heath Ledger was going to be the Joker. No one thought it would work, but look how that turned out.
Being an Apple fanboy myself, I would just advise everyone to wait till we see a trailer before lighting the torches and grabbing the pitchforks.
