Argo, the new Ben Affleck directed flick, is just as powerful and just as amazing as his previous efforts with The Town, and Gone Baby Gone. A film about courage and bravery, Argo manages to pull at heartstrings, cause you to sit forward in your seat, and gasp with excitement. Bottom line, Argo’s got it all.
When Martin McDonagh burst onto the scene four years ago with the incredibly funny – but almost gleefully offensive – In Bruges, it gave him almost immediate credibility as both a writer and director. In Bruges, in addition to giving people a reason to like Colin Farrell again, was a shot in the arm to the art of comedic filmmaking, and garnered McDonagh’s screenplay a well-deserved Oscar nomination.
The art of the time travel film has always been something of a mixed bag. It’s a very tricky subject to get right without having a million little plot holes and paradoxes that cause the viewer to go insane with confusion. In the case of Looper however, writer/director Rian Johnson not only explores this subject with meticulous precision, but also adds in an incredible, and more importantly, original story.

Remote is one of those films that has such an interesting storyline, that you’ll find yourself interested and invested in it, despite it’s shortcomings. Written and
