IGN has posted the debut trailer for the upcoming horror comedy Cockneys vs. Zombies, where a group of east-enders must fight an onslaught of the undead. This film is directed by newcomer Matthias Hoene, and it’s written by James Moran, who wrote another great UK horror comedy titled Severance. The cast list is pretty decent as well, with a notable appearance by Snatch‘s Alan Ford, acting like a badass like always.At first glance this may seem like just another Shaun of the Dead, and it very well may be, but the trailer won me over about half-way through. How could you not want to see a group of geriatrics mowing down zombies with an arsenal of weapons?
Cockneys vs. Zombies is set for release in the UK August 31.
