DEADPOOL 2 Casts Josh Brolin as Cable

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Brolin will play Cable in David Leitch‘s Deadpool 2. There had been several names tossed out for the part — including Brad Pitt, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, Pierce Brosnan, and Stephen Lang — but now Brolin is official. He’ll play opposite Ryan Reynolds who will return as the Merc with a Mouth.

Also interesting is that Brolin reportedly signed a four-movie deal, so we can expect to see more Cable (X-Force?) beyond the upcoming Deadpool sequel.
