Yesterday HBO released the first trailer for their upcoming original series
True Detective, which stars
Matthew McConaughey and
Woody Harrelson as two detectives investigating a series of murders in Louisiana in 1995. Though the first trailer doesn’t divulge much of the plot, I wouldn’t have it any other way. This seems like the type of story that’s best viewed cold, and I cannot wait to see this when it premieres in
January.
The show was created by Cary Fukunaga, director of Jane Eyre and Sin Nombre, so you know it’s going to lookg great visually as well. Hit the jump to check out the trailer.
