Amazon Studios has released the trailer for Lynne Ramsay‘s You Were Never Really Here, starring Joaquin Phoenix as a veteran who tracks down missing girls for a living. The film also stars Judith Roberts, Ekaterina Samsonov, John Doman, Alex Manette, Dante Pereira-Olsen, and Alessandro Nivola.
You Were Never Really Here is based on the Jonathan Ames novel and premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival where it won Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Joaquin Phoenix). Amazon will be releasing the film in theaters April 6th, 2018.
A traumatized veteran, unafraid of violence, tracks down missing girls for a living. When a job spins out of control, Joe’s nightmares overtake him as a conspiracy is uncovered leading to what may be his death trip or his awakening.
