Michel Gondry’s ‘The We and I’ Trailer

Premiering at Cannes, The We and I is the new film by acclaimed director Michel Gondry, and now, thanks to FilmStage, we have a first look at the trailer.  Departing from his previous big-budget projects, Gondry is going for a low-budget, documentary look for this film about a group of kids on a bus during the last day of school.

Although at first glance, this doesn’t look like something that would interest me, I’ll give Gondry the benefit of the doubt and check this one out whenever it gets a distribution deal. Also, the playlist on Indiewire reported that there’s an element of time travel involved, so that interests me as well. Hit the jump for the trailer and official synopsis.

The We and the I is the heartfelt and comical story of the final bus ride home for a group of young high school students and graduates. As kids depart the bus for the last time, we get to learn about these graduates as they step into the world – their love, their conflicts, their despair and their hope.
