Summit Entertainment has released the first trailer for the upcoming Hellboy reboot, directed by Neil Marshall and starring David Harbour (Stranger Things). In the film, Hellboy teams up with a group of monster hunters in order to take down an evil sorceress. The film also stars Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Sasha Lane. While I’m not sure it will hold up to the original pair of live-action adaptations, Neil Marshall knows his way around over the top action and this trailer looks like there will be plenty of that to go around so I’m sold.
Hellboy opens in theaters April 12.
Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.
