Paramount has released a new trailer for the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction, which marks the fourth entry in the live-action Transformers movies.  Directed by Michael Bay, this one will be something of a reboot to the series, featuring Mark Wahlberg as the lead, and mixing up the robot cast by including Dinobots.  The film also stars Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, Han Geng, and Titus Welliver.

While I like the visual of Optimus Prime riding a giant robot T-Rex wielding a huge sword, I feel like the Transformers movies need to be put to bed for a while.  Come back to the franchise in a decade and find a new director to do something interesting with it.

Transformers: Age of Extinction opens in theaters June 27th.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is the fourth film in director Michael Bay’s global blockbuster franchise. The film begins after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history… while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. With help from a new cast of humans, Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world.
