How many of you found yourselves saying “I wish they would make the magic futuristic and then use said magic to rob banks” when watching Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige? None of you. Well, too bad because that is exactly what director Louis Leterrier (The Transporter and Clash of the Titans) has done for his latest film Now You See Me, complete with Michael Caine! The film actually looks somewhat promising given the cast, which includes Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Mélanie Laurent, Michael Caine and, why not, Common. The film follows four magicians/illusionists who pull off a bank heist live at one of their performances and reward the audience with the money. I have to say it is a pretty original idea. Look for Now You See Me in theaters June 7th, 2013.
