The full list of nominations for the 84th annual Academy Awards was posted this morning, and as one might expect there are some surprises. Hugo picked up the most noms with 11, with The Artist coming in a close second with 10. What is surprising however, is Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close being nominated for best picture with Tinker Tailor Solider Spy and Drive being mysteriously absent. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were not considered for best music, and A Cat in Paris and Chico & Rita were nominated for Best Animated Feature with The Adventures of Tin Tin nowhere to be found.   1. It’s Midnight in Paris/Woody Allen all the way for me…just can’t help myself.

      That was definitely one of the best of the year (and Woody Allen’s highest grossing film) but it has some stiff competition.
