See the First Official Photos of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in TOMB RAIDER

Today, Vanity Fair debuted two new photos of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider adaptation. The look is definitely inspired by the most recent video games; gone are the short shorts and leg guns of the Angelina Jolie version, replaced with cargo pants and a dingy tank top.

Directed by Roar Uthaug (The Wave), Tomb Raider also stars Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, and Dominic West. It will be in theaters on March 16th, 2018.

Lara Croft finds herself searching for her father on an uncharted Chinese island when he goes missing looking for the ancient Dagger of Xian. Lara recruits her father’s old friend Lu Ren to lead her to the island which has disastrous consequences when they find themselves trying to survive.
