Focus Features has released the trailer for Spike Lee‘s BlacKkKlansman, which tells the true story of a black Colorado police officer who managed to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan, becoming the leader of a local chapter. The film stars John David Washington, Adam Driver, Topher Grace, Laura Harrier, Ryan Eggold, and Robert John Burke.
BlacKkKlansman opens in theaters August 10th.

It’s the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime.
