‘The Do-Deca Pentathlon’ Trailer


Here’s the debut trailer for another one of the Duplass brothers’ upcoming films The Do-Deca Pentathlon. The film was shelved for several years when the brothers were working on bigger projects like Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives at Home, but now it’s finally seeing the light of day, courtesy of Fox Searchlight. Mark Kelly and Steve Zissis star as brothers competing against one another in a 25-event competition of strength and endurance. The Do-Deca Pentathlon is set for a July 6th release, check after the break for the full synopsis and trailer.

The story of two grown brothers (Mark Kelly & Steve Zissis) who secretly compete in a homemade Olympics during a family reunion. When their fierce and disruptive competition is uncovered, the brothers must pick between their passion for beating the hell out of each other and the greater good of the family.

The Do-Deca-Pentathlon is both written & directed by filmmaking brothers Jay Duplass & Mark Duplass, of the films The Puffy Chair, Baghead, Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives at Home previously. This first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. Red Flag Releasing is bringing Do-Deca-Pentathlon to limited theaters July 6th.
