While this should be considered a rumor at this point, the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting have it on good authority that Lionsgate is already in the process of developing a Twilight remake.
Lionsgate bought Summit Entertainment, the original producers of the Twilight series, back in January, and apparently the company wants another powerhouse franchise to go along with The Hunger Games, which they already own.
It is possible that instead of a remake, Lionsgate will opt for a new sequel, not based on any of the novels, since the series will be ending it’s run this year.
Speculation aside, one thing I think we can all be sure of, is that Twilight will be around for many years to come, let’s just hope Lionsgate can give us something that’s at least watchable.
