Michael Bacall has been tapped to pen the script and his previous efforts include Project X, 21 Jump Street, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Joel Silver has been announced as the producer, but there’s no other word on casting or director details just yet.
While I’m not saying this will be a complete train wreck, do we really need a remake of this? Moreover, many were groaning about the prospect of a 21 Jump Street movie and that turned out to be one of the funniest films of last year.
