It seems like not only is Hollywood on the reboot and remake bandwagon, but now they’ve stooped even lower and are simply re-releasing films they’ve already made. So far we’ve seen 3D releases of The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Titanic, Star Wars Episode 1, and now Jurassic Park is getting the 3D treatment.
I’m not saying this is necessarily good, or bad. I may shell out some coin to see Jurassic Park on the big screen once more, but I think studios should be more focused on new films and properties, rather than cashing in on previous blockbusters.
If you’re going to re-release some older films in 3D why not make something like Rear Window or Vertigo? Now that would have me very excited.
Jurassic Park 3D currently has a release date of July 19, 2013.
