Now, animator Don Bluth and his team are bringing Dragon’s Lair back in hopes to create a feature-length film based on the property. He’s taken to Kickstarter to raise funds in order to put together a 6-7 minute pitch video with 1 minute of hand-drawn animation to show to prospective buyers and hopefully get this project off the ground.
The campaign is looking to raise $500,000 to make the pitch video, which certainly is a big chunk of change just for a pitch, but hand-drawn animation is expensive and takes a significant amount of time and resources to make right. As of this writing, the project has 18 days remaining, so click here and send a donation their way so we can see Dirk the Daring ride once more!
Don Bluth and Gary Goldman are coming together once again to bring the classic arcade game Dragon’s Lair to the big screen. We are seeking your help to create a pitch to make Dragon’s Lair, the Movie through a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign. Dragon’s Lair continues to be loved by millions around the world since 1983, and fans have been waiting patiently to see Dirk and Daphne at it again. Join us in this adventure as we prepare to bring Dragon’s Lair to a new generation.
