Kickstart Sunday – ‘Flex Is Kings’

Every week on Film Pulse, we highlight a crowd-funded project that we think you’ll really like, and deserves some support. Not only do we implore you to contribute to these projects, but we will contribute as well. Kick your Sunday off right by helping support independent film. If you help fund any of the projects we list, send us an e-mail at feedback@filmpulse.net, and we’ll make sure to thank you on the podcast.

This week we’d like to highlight Flex is Kings, which will be making it’s world premiere at Tribeca 2013.  This documentary by Deidre Schoo and Michael Beach Nichols follows a group of dancers in Brooklyn who practice a new style of urban danced called Flex.  Hit the jump for more info and make sure you click here to donate to this project.

Flex Is Kings documents the hopes and realities of the under-acknowledged and totally unfunded group of Brooklyn artists behind the urban dance movement known as “Flex.”
