Kickstart Sunday: ‘The Lord of Catan’

Every week on Film Pulse we like to highlight a film that is currently being crowd-funded, in order to promote unique and interesting independent film projects. Kick your week off right by donating to this filmmaker and help them make their vision a reality.

This week we’d like to highlight the short film The Lord of Catan from director Stuart C. Paul.  The film sees a couple, played by Amy Acker and Fran Kranz, sit down for a nice friendly game of Settlers of Catan, only to find their relationship, and sanity, put to the test.  This is why it’s never a good idea to play competitive board games with your significant other. Click here to donate and hit the jump to learn more about the film.

The Lord of Catan stars Amy Acker (Angel, Much Ado About Nothing) and Fran Kranz (Cabin in the Woods, Dollhouse) as Krysta and Todd, a young married couple who find themselves thrust into an apocalyptic rivalry over a game of Settlers of Catan.
