Look Out SXSW There’s A ‘Big Ass Spider’ Headed Your Way

Here’s the debut trailer for Big Ass Spider, one of the selections for this year’s Midnighters series at SXSW. The title makes the film seem pretty self-explanatory, there’s a big ass spider on the loose destroying everything in its path.  I’m sold.

The flick is directed by Mike Mendez (Gravedancers) and doesn’t currently have an official release date.  Check the synopsis (like you really need to) and trailer after the jump.

When a giant alien spider escapes from a military lab and rampages across the city of Los Angeles, it is up to one clever exterminator and his security guard sidekick to kill the creature before the entire city is destroyed. BIG ASS SPIDER! (aka MEGA SPIDER)
