A new trailer has been released for the upcoming documentary Markie in Milwaukee, which is set to premiere at this year’s Slamdance Film Festival. Directed by Matt Kliegman, the film follows ten years in the life of a 7-foot-tall transgender woman as she makes the difficult decision to de-transition.
Markie in Milwaukee will have its first screening Saturday, January 26th, 3:00 PM at the Treasure Mountain Inn Ballroom in Park City.
Assembled from over 10 years of footage, Markie in Milwaukee tells the story of a Midwestern transgender woman as she struggles with the prospect of de-transitioning under the pressures of her fundamentalist church, family and community.
