SXSW 2013: ‘Sake-Bomb’ Trailer

Here’s the trailer for Sake-Bomb, a new comedy from director Junya Sakino that’s having it’s premier at this year’s SXSW Festival.  The film stars Eugene Kim as Sebastian, an Asian American who is tasked with helping his cousin (Gaku Hamada) from Japan find his girlfriend in the States.
The film will be premiering March 8th in Austin with no theatrical release as of yet.  Hit the jump for the full synopsis and trailer, thanks to Twitch for providing the embed.

Sebastian is a bitter, self-hating wannabe Internet star from Los Angeles who has recently been dumped by his girlfriend and is looking for someone new. When his cousin Naoto, a quiet sake maker from Japan, shows up to find his own ex-girlfriend, Sebastian reluctantly takes him to northern California to find her. The two cousins are a clash of cultures waiting to happen – it’s just a matter of who will break first. Along their journey, the pair meet a colorful group of characters as they come to grips with who they really are and who they want to be.
