Tribeca 2015: THE BIRTH OF SAKE Trailer

The first trailer for Erik Shirai‘s upcoming documentary The Birth of Sake has been released, which is set to make its premiere this week at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film follows one of the few remaining traditional sake breweries in Japan, and gives viewers an inside look at how this meticulously crafted rice wine is created from start to finish. This was one of the more fascinating docs I saw at the festival so far, so be sure to check back for a full review after the premiere.

The Birth of Sake will be screening Thursday, April 16th at 7:30pm at Regal Cinemas Battery Park – 9 in New York City.
