A new clip has been released for the documentary Red, White & Wasted ahead of its premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, which kicked off today. Directed by Andrei Bowden-Schwartz and Sam B. Jones the film takes a look at the life of Matthew “Video Pat” Burns and his unending love for mudding, despite his favorite spot being shut down.
Red, White & Wasted premieres tomorrow night (4/25) at Tribeca.
Orlando resident Matthew “Video Pat” Burns lives for mudding, where monster-wheeled vehicles twist, slide, and whip up bucketfuls of mud for approving, beer-chugging onlookers. He’s never been the same since Swamp Ghost, the longtime local mudding hangout where Burns shot and then sold mudding videos, became useless after a brush fire raged out of control. And he’s barely making ends meet as a single father of two teenage daughters who are dealing with health and boyfriend issues.
