Troma Wants You To Help Them ‘Occupy Cannes’

As a big supporter of Troma, I was delighted to discover (via Slashfilm) that the new Troma doc Occupy Cannes is in the works and has an Indiegogo page set up to get some much needed help.

While I can’t say I love everything Troma has put out over the last 40 years, I have the utmost respect for them for sticking to their guns and keeping true to their independent mantra.  Their last Cannes documentary, All the Love You Cannes, was a delight and can be watched for free here via Youtube.

The film will document the Troma team once again invading Cannes with their oddball, and wonderfully abrasive characters, in order to promote their new film Return to Nuke’em High.

The Indiegogo page was set up this morning in order to gather up enough dough to get the team over there and accommodate for their expenses in making the picture.  The incentives for this project are pretty great as well, with some highlights including posters, DVDs, and art books, signed from Troma CEO Lloyd Kaufman.
