TIFF ’12: Sarah Polley’s ‘Stories We Tell’ Trailer

Here’s the debut trailer for director Sarah Polley‘s third feature film, Stories We Tell, which is a documentary exploring the lives of her own family members, and her mother in particular. Polley transitioned from a successful career as an actress to the directing chair, with her last film being Take This Waltz with Seth Rogan and Michelle Williams. This will be her first foray into the realm of the documentary, and judging from the trailer, it looks like it’s going to be an intimate and fascinating look into the mysterious life of her mother, Diana Polley.

The film, which received five out of five stars on The Guardian, is set to premier at The Venice International Film Festival, then head over to TIFF.

While I wasn’t terribly impressed with Take This Waltz, I must say I’m very interested to check this one out.  Unfortunately, it probably won’t see the light of day for another few months.
