‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D’ Poster Debut

Because we’ve all been clamoring for it, Lionsgate has released the first poster promo for the seventh incarnation of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, smartly titled Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. The film is directed by John Luessenhop, who also directed the Paul Walker extravaganza Takers. This one will take place in the 70’s, directly after the events of the first film, which could be cool, although this franchise was rebooted and prequeled so much, at this point why even bother with continuity?

The cast consists of Bill Moseley, which is nice, then a bevy of no-names, which is bad.

Oh well, at least the poster is creepy, and hopefully there will be enough in this film to get the series back on track, just don’t hold your breath. Expect to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D in theaters January 4th, 2013.
