2017 Oscar Nominees Announced; LA LA LAND Ties Record

The nominations for the 2017 Academy Awards were announced this morning and La La Land tied the record for most nominations ever with 14 (equaling Titanic and All About Eve). Moonlight received 8. Meryl Streep became the first actor to hit 20 nominations for a career with her nod for Florence Foster Jenkins.

Though it had been gaining momentum with recognition from several of the guilds, Deadpool was shut out of the Oscars. Suicide Squad, however, is now an Oscar-nominated film, receiving a nomination for Makeup and Hairstyling.

Check out the complete list of nominees below. The 89th Academy Awards ceremony will air on February 26th.
