2020 Oscar Nominations

In case you missed the live stream this morning, here are the nominees for the 92nd Academy Awards, which will be airing on ABC live on February 9th. Todd PhillipsJoker surprisingly has the most nominations with 11. Martin Scorsese‘s The Irishman, Sam Mendes1917, and Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood picked up 10 each, and my personal favorite of the year, Bong Joon-ho‘s Parasite, landed 6.

Notable snubs include Jordan Peele‘s Us, Lulu Wang‘s The Farewell, and the Safdie brothers’ Uncut Gems, making this one of the more perplexing Oscar years, though not entirely surprising considering last year’s Green Book win.

What do you think of this year’s noms? Any snubs you’re bummed about? Let me know down in the comments!
