’71 Trailer Starring Jack O’Connell

Jack O’Connell seems to be everywhere these days, with a role in 300: Rise of an Empire earlier this year, as well as starring roles in the upcoming Unbroken, Starred Up, and now Yann Demange‘s ’71.  In ’71 O’Connell plays a young British soldier trapped behind enemy lines in Belfast.

The film premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and opens in theaters in the U.K. October 10th, however there’s no U.S. release date as of yet.  Look below for the newly released trailer.

’71 sees Jack O’Connell (Starred Up, 300: Rise of an Empire, Skins) star as Gary, a young English squaddie abandoned by his unit in Belfast at the height of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Stranded in hostile territory, Gary must escape through the riot-torn city. The feature debut of director Yann Demange, ’71 is released in the UK on 10 October
