ABOUT RAY Trailer Starring Elle Fanning

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming drama About Ray, starring Elle Fanning as a transgender teen attempting to reconnect with his absentee father in order to get him to sign off on the gender reassignment while the rest of his family comes to terms with the discovery. The film also stars Naomi Watts, Susan Sarandon, and Tate Donovan.

We’ve been seeing a lot of films and TV shows approach this important issue as of late, and I couldn’t be happier to see these topics be looked at and discussed. With quality shows like Orange is the New Black and Transparent, and great movies like 52 Tuesdays and Tangerine coming out, this sorely underrepresented group are quickly entering the mainstream in a very positive way.

The Weinstein Company is releasing About Ray in theaters September 18th.
