Alamo Drafthouse Throwing a ‘Great Gatsby’ Feast

If you’re one of our readers lucky enough to live in the Austin area, be sure to check out the upcoming Great Gatsby event taking place at the Alamo Drafthouse.  In honor of Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby hitting theaters, the Drafthouse is throwing a decadent feast, featuring an incredible looking four course meal.  They will also be serving special cocktails and having a separate cocktail party on May 10th.

To get in on all the high societal decadence, we’re presenting a very special THE GREAT GATSBY Feast with a specially-themed menu crafted by Austin Market Concept Chef Trish Eichelberger.  So while you’re experiencing Luhrmann’s sights and sounds on the screen, your taste buds won’t be left out!  Join us for THE GREAT GATSBY Feast on Tuesday, May 14, 7:00PM, at Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek or Wednesday, May 15, 7:00PM, at Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane.  Tickets are available now!

THE GREAT GATSBY Cocktails 

Alamo Drafthouse Beverage Director Bill Norris has fashioned a special THE GREAT GATSBY Cocktails menu that is available at the Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane. You can try these cocktails at any screening of THE GREAT GATSBY at Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane, or enjoy them as we celebrate the film’s release at our Gatsby Speakeasy Party!  Slip on your best tux or flapper dress and join us on Friday, May 10^th at 400 Rabbits.  Sip on the Gatsby-themed cocktails and do the Charleston to live music by The Hollywood Review from 6:30-10:30pm.  We’re also giving away Alamo prizes for the best costumes, so make sure to channel your inner Gatsby or Daisy.  The admission is free for the swanky affair, so mark your calendars and prepare for a night that’s guaranteed to be the cat’s pajamas!
