If you saw Albert Birney‘s 2017 film Sylvio, you were no doubt charmed and amazed at how well he translated a popular Vine series into a feature length film. Well, if you loved that movie as much as I did, then you’ll be happy to know he’s adapting another one of his series, Tux and Fanny, into a feature and the trailer has been released.
If you’re not familiar, Tux and Fanny is a quirky pixel-animated series featuring two Russian humanoid characters going about their daily lives. There’s this unshakable Commodore 64 vibe I get from the videos, which, along with their endless charm, keep me clamoring for more, so I’m extremely excited that a feature is in the works.
