BABY DRIVER Release Moved Up Six Weeks

Edgar Wright fans rejoice, Baby Driver is now hitting theaters earlier than originally planned. The film won an audience award at the recent SXSW Film Festival, and the positive response inspired Sony to move the release up to the middle of the summer. At their CinemaCon panel, the studio announced that the release has been moved from August 11th to June 28th, 2017.

Talented getaway driver Baby (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. After meeting the woman (Lily James) of his dreams, he sees a chance to ditch his shady lifestyle and make a clean break. Coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), Baby must face the music as a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
