A24 has released a new trailer for Barry Jenkins‘ (Medicine for Melancholy) upcoming drama Moonlight, which takes place in ’80s Miami during the height of Raegan’s war on drugs. Based on a the play by Tarell Alvin McCraney, the film stars Trevante Rhodes, Naomie Harris, Andre Holland, and Mahershala Ali.
Moonlight is premiering at this year’s Tiff and opens in theaters October 21st.
Set in 1980s War on Drugs era Miami, Moonlight focuses on three different time periods of a man named Chiron, as he battles a rough home life and his dawning sexuality.
