‘Besouro’ Trailer

Besouro, as you can tell from the trailer, is set in the 1920s in Bahia and tells the story of a capoeirista who fights to protect the oppressed black population of Brazil. The film, directed by João Daniel Tikhomiroff, will be playing at Pan African Film Festival in LA. I have to say that I love the idea of a Capoeira action movie, thanks to Tambay of Indiewire’s Shadow and Act blog.
