BO! Sacha Baron Cohen Set to Star in KLOWN Remake

Annapurna has won a bidding over over the American remake of the Danish comedy film Klown that is set to star Sacha Baron Cohen. Based on a television series by the same name, Klown is heavily influenced by Curb Your Enthusiasm and revolves around two inappropriate men taking a young boy on an inappropriate adventure.

I loved the series, I loved the first film, but the recently released sequel, Klown Forever, was a letdown. That being said, I’m not entirely sure I want an American version to happen.

The original film is the highest grossing movie in Danish history so it’s understandable that an English remake would be a hot commodity. Annapurna’s Megan Ellison will produce with Baron Cohen, Todd Schulman, and Scott Stuber.

As long as there is a cameo featuring Frank and Casper I’ll be at least partially happy about this. If you haven’t seen the first film, please stop reading and go check it out.
