Cannes 2013: ‘On The Job’ Trailer

Here’s the newly released trailer for Erik Matti‘s Filipino crime thriller On The Job, debuting at the Director’s Fortnight section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

The film revolves around prisoners who are hired by corrupt government officials to carry out assassinations.  The crazy thing about this story is that it’s based on actual events. Hit the jump for the trailer and synopsis.

Inspired by a real-life corruption scandal that involved inmates being released for a day to work as hired killers for crooked politicians. Co-starring Shaina Magdayao, Empress Schuck, Joel Torre, Angel Aquino, Vivian Velez, Joey Marquez, Leo Martinez, Michael de Mesa, Al Tantay and Niño Muhlach.
