THE CASE AGAINST 8 Trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming HBO documentary The Case Against 8 has been released online, which takes a look at the controversial prop 8 bill in California and the battle to get it overturned.  The film is written and directed by Ben Cotner and Ryan White and originally premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

The Case Against 8 is set to hit theaters June 6th and debut on HBO June 23rd.  Hit the jump for the trailer and synopsis.

Five years in the making, with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the powerhouse legal team of Ted Olson and David Boies, who previously faced off as opposing counsel in Bush v. Gore, along with the four plaintiffs in the suit, the film provides a definitive account of the battle that effectively ended marriage discrimination in California.
