Damien Chazelle Wins DGA Award

The Directors Guild of America handed out their awards on Saturday night, and Damien Chazelle took home the prize for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature Film for La La Land. The DGA Award is often a good predictor for the Oscar as there’s only been a handful of occasions where the winner has not gone on to win the Academy Award.

Other film winners at the DGA Awards were Garth Davis for Lion (Outstanding Directorial Achievement of a First-Time Feature Film Director) and Ezra Edelman for O.J.: Made in America (Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary).
