Dan Trachtenberg’s 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE Gets a Mysterious First Trailer

The first trailer for Dan Trachtenberg‘s (Portal: No Escape, The Totally Rad Show) feature directorial debut, 10 Cloverfield Lane, has been released, which features John GoodmanMary Elizabeth Winstead, and John Gallagher Jr. hiding from something in a bomb shelter. What they are hiding from is still a mystery, but we know there is some connection to the 2008 J. J. Abrams-produced science fiction film Cloverfield, so I’m on board with whatever it is.

Paramount has been quoted as saying it’s acting as a “blood relative” to the original, so I’m guessing this will be something of a different story that just so happens to take place in the same world. Either way, color me intrigued.

A few of the plot details have been previously released, which said the following:

The majority of the movie takes place in an underground cellar, home to a teenage girl and a caretaker. The girl woke up in the cellar after a car accident, at which point her eerie companion tells her a nuclear attack has devastated society. The girl still hopes to escape.

10 Cloverfield Lane opens in theaters March 11th.
