Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs Biopic Gets a Release Date

Universal has announced the now filming Steve Jobs biopic will have an October 9th release date, placing it snugly into the beginning of awards season. The film is directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours) and stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels, Katherine Waterston, Sarah Snook, and Michael Stuhlbarg.

The script is written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The Newsroom) and is adapted from the biography by Walter Isaacson.

Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs invites audiences behind the scenes of the digital revolution to witness an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.
